About Jamie Tyrell
Jamie is a certified Compassion Fatigue Educator (TEND Academy), a trainer with the Ontario Municipal Social Service Association, and a coach for relationship management, managing change and team building. A personable and engaging speaker, he brings experience, humour, knowledge and resources to the workshops and training sessions he delivers across the country.
Jamie has worked in the social services field for more than 15 years. He started his career with the City of Cornwall as a Case Manager for the Ontario Works program, and went on to implement new technology and business transformations for front-line staff with the Ministry of Community and Social Services.
He has worked with school boards and high-risk youth to identify and facilitate collaborations between multiples agencies with the aim of helping students achieve Grade 12 diplomas. Jamie has also coordinated a variety of social programs to answer the challenges of homelessness, domestic violence and social housing.
A graduate of Trent University, Jamie holds a degree from Trent University in International Development, and Resource Studies with a focus on Community Development. He lives in Cornwall, Ontario with loving partner, Josée, and his three children.
